We are happy to share that Stilta has been accepted into Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch. This is a meaningful step forward in our mission to build the AI-native research platform for patent and IP professionals.

The Problem

Patent work - whether it is building a litigation case or understanding the value of a portfolio - still depends on enormous amounts of manual research. IP professionals spend weeks searching through patent databases, web archives, and technical literature, often for a single analysis. We kept running into this problem ourselves, and we believe the tools available have not kept pace with what is at stake.

What We're Building

Stilta uses specialized AI agents that reason about patent claims, search across patent and non-patent literature, and deliver structured, source-traced results. That means invalidity searches for litigation, infringement assessments, or portfolio analysis to help a business understand what its IP is actually worth - in hours instead of weeks.

Rather than wrapping a general-purpose language model, our agents understand specific technology domains, trace every conclusion back to its source, and present interactive results that users can verify and build on. In a field where decisions carry real financial and legal consequences, we believe transparency is not optional.

What's Next

We already have paying customers - law firms and corporate IP teams using Stilta for real work. Joining Y Combinator gives us the resources and mentorship to take the next steps. We are focused on:

· Deepening our analysis capabilities across more technology domains

· Expanding from litigation-focused research to broader IP portfolio intelligence

· Growing our base of design partners and early customers

We have a lot to learn and a lot to build. We are excited about the road ahead and grateful for the support.
